Jewellery Time Magazine

The NZ Jewellery Show returns to the capital Organisers of The New Zealand Jewellery Showhave announced they have secured the weekend 9th — 11th September for their sixth show, which returns to Wellington this year. These dates are later than normal to enjoy the opportunities presented in Wellington by coinciding with two of the biggest events on the local calendar this year - The World of Wearable Arts and the Rugby World Cup 2011.

The New Zealand Jewellery Show is now officially part of the NZ Festival, a nationwide Rugby World Cup initiative, intended to showcase New Zealand arts and cultural identity to our international visitors.

Registrations have just opened for the Show on the updated website www.jewelleryshow.co.nz  The Show will return to the Michael Fowler Centre with the layout very similar to the 2008 Show which designers agreed was a very successful floor plan. Cabinet hire fees remain the same as 2010.

Grant Stevenson, director of The New Zealand Jewellery Show, recommends designers register as soon as possible as space will be at a premium. He says: “If you have ever thought of participating in the Jewellery Show 2011 will be the year to do it!”

The Gala Preview on the Thursday evening, 8th September, will be an excellent opportunity for the city to host international VIP visitors, with jewellers displaying the very best of New Zealand design.

Trading hours are being extended to maximise the anticipated visitors to the city and expanded marketing opportunities will ensure the event gets excellent coverage. Accommodation will be at a premium, so prospective exhibitors should not delay with their registrations.

For more details and to register for the show and enter the awards designers can visit the websitewww.jewelleryshow.co.nz or Ph 04 499 9 550.
