We just received this lovely photo of pupils from Aberdare Ranges School in Nakuru, Kenya from one of our Village Goldsmith clients Cassandra Treadwell.Cassandra established the So They Can trust after visiting a refugee camp in Nakuru in 2009. With the help of donations and fundraisers and the tireless efforts of Cassandra and her team, So They Can has established a primary school, runs evening classes for mature students and manages an orphanage for pre-school children.The Village Goldsmith team were delighted that our contribution was able to raise $6,500 for So They Can’s recent “Diamonds on Ice” fundraiser.So They Can believes providing education is fundamental to giving children the best opportunities in life. 100 per cent of all donations go directly towards their projects and they have the backing and support of the Kenyan government.
