Named after the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius Star® features greater scintillation and increased light return, improved brilliance and higher visual appeal than other round brilliants.
This 3.278 carat diamond has been cut with 100 facets – far out-shining the 58 facets round diamonds are usually cut to. It is a triple ideal cut with stunning E colour, and VS1 clarity.
Master Diamond Cutter, Mike Botha, personally selected the diamond rough, saw the beauty in it, and set about designing the perfect cut for it.
An internationally acclaimed master diamond cutter with an impressive history spanning more than four decades in the profession, Mike's accolades include cutting Canada’s largest diamond. Mike himself developed the design for the unique cut of the patented Sirius Star® diamond.

Through their many conversations and sharing of stories of delighted clients, Ian and Mike formed a strong business relationship born out of their shared passion for top quality design,and strong ethical standards. Both men care deeply about the provenance – and the outstanding beauty – of the unique cut Sirius Star® Canadian diamond. Over many conversations, sharing of stories and ideas, Mike and Ian have collaborated to bring to New Zealand this impressive Sirius Star® 100 facet diamond and set it into the award-winning stunning modern sculpture – the Stellad ring.
